Aster Scatter restores beauty and dignity to the yards of elderly and disabled neighbors — one native plant at a time.
Many elderly and disabled Omaha residents live with yards they can't maintain — overgrown, neglected, and a source of frustration or shame. We change that with low-maintenance native plant gardens that are beautiful, sustainable, and dignified.
We convert neglected yards into thriving native gardens — plants that are naturally low-maintenance, drought-resistant, and suited to Nebraska's climate.
We work with elderly and disabled neighbors who have limited mobility — people who want a yard they're proud of but can no longer tend to on their own.
Native plants support local pollinators, reduce water use, and strengthen Omaha's urban ecosystem — so every restored yard benefits the whole neighborhood.
Your donation funds native plants, volunteer labor, and tools to restore a neighbor's yard. We accept gifts online through PayPal, by Amazon wishlist, or by check.
